Philippos Photiadis was born in Athens, Greece. He studied architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design (earning a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts in 1993 and in Architecture in 1994) and at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (earning a Masters degree in 1998). He worked for Skidmore Owings and Merill<\/span> and Bernard Tschumi Architects in New York, and Michael Photiadis Architects in Athens. He is a founding member of the creative office\u00a0‘we design’<\/a>, based in Athens (since 2001). He has taught at the Harvard Graduate School of Design Career Discovery program, Boston Architectural Center (1998), the Vakalo Art and Design College in Athens (1999-2000), the University of Patras department of architecture (2007-2010) and as a visiting professor at Washington University in St Louis graduate architecture program (fall 2016). Along with his practice as an architect, he has been involved in drawing and illustration projects\u00a0and has participated in numerous group and solo art exhibitions in Greece. He has illustrated for the theater, for storefronts, magazines and children’s books.<\/span><\/p>\n
